Heck, my kids drive me to drink almost daily......... This is nothing.

If she had to go to the bar THAT bad she should've called a cab....why endanger her daughters life?

I totally agree with you! This is just awful and selfish of the mother. I hope the mother gets some help and her daughter is not put in this position ever again!

At least you had a designated driver, too bad it was her 12 year old daughter. It probably seemed like a good idea at the time.

I drove my older brother back across the Bluewater bridge into Canada from the U.S. at 14 and customs didn't bat an eye. They just told me to go straight home. That was 22 years ago and the world has changed alot since then.

some 12 yr olds look like 18 year olds

This is so sad, how low can we get? How is it right for a mother to use her 12 year old daughter to help her get booze for her addiction? What on earth is wrong with all of you?

I have a really hard time understanding most of what any person wrote on this site. Can you imagine how the 12 year old daughter must have felt? Her mother, who is supposed to love her more than anything is requesting that she break the law. And what for?? Alcohol! Alcohol causes people to do stupid things every day. My heart goes out for the child who is obviously not loved the way she should be. The mother needs help. Hopefully she will get the appropriate treatment and she and her daughter can appreciate the true meaning of life...:)
