Abandoned Infant Girl Found In Queens
A one-month old baby girl was found abandoned in Queens on Mother's Day, and police are searching for her parents.
A woman who lives at 140-32 Holly Avenue heard heard the faint sounds of crying around 10:00 p.m. Sunday, and opened the door, finding the infant on her front steps wrapped up in a blanket with a black handbag by her side.
The baby was taken Flushing Medical Center, where under the Safe Haven Act, the parents could've left her without facing charges.
So far police believe the house where she was adandoned was chosen at random. Read more
