Maybe you should get a clue! I drive carriages in cincinnati. All involved are just fine. Maybe people shouldn't get theur kicks by trying to scare the horses. Mine is very calm and doesn't spook at anything, the one from last saturday was new to the city. I've had people yell, throw things, blow horns, etc... there's even one of those idiots with a train horn that tries every once in a while. I've been almost hit several times by what i can only assume is a drunk driver, or teens just goofing off. Maybe we shoud get rid of morons from the road they're too dangerous! |

You tell him rattlehead. I love the horse drawn carriages as well as many others in this city. I was just the same day telling people that was what I wanted to do soon. If I searched hard enough I could probably find that this kind of thing has happened in New York quite a few times.

Horse-drawn carriages should definitely be banned, in Cincinnati, New York City, and any city. Horses spook, and often with disastrous consequences. Rattlehead's post is all over the place, first defending the industry and then talking about the risks from drunken drivers, loudmouthed teen-agers, people trying to spook the horses, crazy drivers. How is this not inhumane? Not to mention dangerous to the public?? Horses do NOT belong in traffic, or in a "job" where they get no turnout, as in NYC.

Janie, must be a very lonely person, from the pure bitterness she spills in her comments.Horse Drawn Carriage Rides are a wonderful service offered in more and more cities every yr.Annapolis Maryland is 1 of the newest and just thriving.Work Horses are just that, thre is no crulety in working with horses,as long as they are maintained and cared for.Turning horses loose in a pasture doesn't = a total humane soulution.Carriage Companies save many a horse that was ''turned out'' and forgotten, neglected and left to fend for themselves. Its not where the horses live, its how they are treated and cared for.

Cute! Maybe Werner B. doesn't really exist or should I say maybe Werner B. does exist but only in the "fantasy" world. Figment of my imagination. Besides, he was a little scrawny cowardly insensitive heartless a-hole resident alien anyway. |

So THE BIG FISH why did you bring up the Werner B angle? Was he part of the conversation? I've read through it and can't quite seem to make the connection. I am perfectly able and happy to treat myself to a carriage ride. I'm sensing some sarcasm in your comment. But it's okay since you're the big fish. So completely funny. Are you German?:)

Hey big fish!!!! I finally got my carriage ride, eventhough I did it alone and in the ATL it was still awesome. You inspired me.

1 Not sure what you mean by the last line but or what you think you know but I can say this, you are certainly right about the "alien" part. From what planet I don't know, certainly not this one eventhough they claim to be from Germany. A bit of a psychopath/Sociopath I believe. Not true about the as good as you give because it's all give on one side take on the other. Everyone is replaceable to some degree, even the alien. I find great satisfaction in that sometimes the person who thinks they are using is really being used. I have SO much more to "give". Nothing but time and patience......what one gets for kissing a frog (and not even a cute one). |

And now that we've gotten past all that..you never answered my original question. Why did you interject the "alien" into this carriage discussion? If you had not then this string never would have happened.
