Located at Markley Creek Park. North of James Donlon Blvd. on Somersville Rd.
It's 1.5 acres 3 times the size of the nearest dog park (King Park) in Brentwood.

The park is wonderful! A fantastic addition to the community. Thanks to the people who made it happen.
I have a couple of suggestions to the park dept to improve and keep the space safe.
The grate covering drains in the middle of the ground has spaces that are too wide and a dog could catch his/her toe or foot in it as they run happily across the field causing a serious injury. It needs a smaller mesh covering to protect the dogs.
Signs need to be placed at each gate to remind park users to keep them closed to be certain that the dogs don't get out accidently.
Thanks for taking care of this items.

Don't go here!! My car was broken into last weekend, and I have heard of many others!! The neighborhood is awful (even if it looks nice).

Heather, what value does your post offer. Look at the current economic environment, that kind of non-sense is happening everywhere. My car got broken into at a Dog Park in San Ramon. If you are unfamiliar with San Ramon, that's an area more affluent than Antioch. There are just no good people committing crime everywhere. I've been to the dog park in Antioch with no problems and I still go to the dog park in San Ramon as well. I'm not going to make a bunch of petty thieves stop me from doing things with my animals.

Good point Bob.

My son and I took our dog to this park today for the first time. It was very enjoyable for our puppy (not really a pup anymore at 8 mon. old) as well as for us to watch her running around and playing with other dogs. We will definitely go again.

This was our first time at a dog park so I don't know how it compares to other parks, but I am a bit concerned about the gravel ... I bet it gets very hot and uncomfortable for the dogs in the summertime. It would be nice if there were grassy areas for the dogs. Aside from that, everything else was good. Facility was clean.
