Opening a store named Taco Zone in an area where it's bound to fail doesn't exactly scream, "I can make great decisions and lead your city to success!"

We need a new mayor who can continue the revitization of Casselberry. Goff is an embarrassment. Not too sure about merging the Fire Dept with Seminole's. Winter Springs did, benchmarking should happen before decision is made. Therewas signficant impact on the property tax, and I don't think it was favorable.

To continue revitalization, you have to do it with a new mayor. The current one looks like some high school janitor from a bygone era. He works in a junk-yard, what does that say! His few yard signs are in the worst, trashiest homes in the city.

what's with that myre fella running? He left a flyer on my door stating he wants to pay the fire/police dept by holding carnivals to pay for them?? Carnivals!!! I dont wanna depend on a failed fund raiser to pay for my safety!! Now whenever I see his yard signs at peoples homes, I figure the resident is just an idiot!

Look Goff, is in business, holding office is the way to meet people to ask for kickbacks, if you give he is a hard worker, if not he goes away, do not give him what he wants. There is very little to understand he is just a garden varity influence salesman.

As sorry as Goff is, look at his opposition.

A snotnose elitist.

A soon-fo-be-failed "entrepreneur" who wants to finance fire with bake sales.

A drunk, bankrupt ghost.

Compared to this set, a bum like Goof, er, Goff doesn't look half bad. Guess I'll hold my nose and vote for the junkman.:(

I am personally acquainted with both Bob Goff and Charlene Glancy, although I've both worked and recreated with Goff, and only know Glancy through social activities.
I could not fictionalize a worse individual for the person of Mayor than Bob Goff. There IS a reason that he left Lyman H.S.(and it isn't a reason to be proud of.) For years a tool of the topless club industry, he is now a tool of the slumlord industry. The "experience" that he touts is also nothing to be proud of. Four shameful years of being mayor is experience that the citizens of Casselberry have had to endure, and thankfully, can bring to a halt in this election.
Mr. Goff's use of the term "elitist" is also quite shameful. When he talks of "elitists", he is actually talking of homeowners, a thing he is not in Casselberry (unless you take into account the dilapidated mobile homes that he overcharges the working class to rent.)
Now I don't agree with everything that the new commissioners are doing, but at least I know that their main concern is for the homeowners and taxpayers of the city. Ms. Glancy will fit in nicely with the present board.

Goff is the collection man for the Casselberry's he dosen't own those property's. He was just doing his job their. Pay your rent on time and he wouldn't have to come visit you. I do believe the best of the bunch is the realtor.

I absolutely agree. 10 years ago Winter Springs and Oviedo were considered the boondocks, and now they are very nice communities, and Casselberry is slodging along going nowhere fast. Goff is a scumbag who wouldn't know good taste if it bit him on the butt. We need those in office who can and will put Casselberry up with other communities. It will benefit ALL of us!

Casselberry is just fine as is, thank you. This is no time to be spending money to make pretty. Keep in mind its a realtor that wants it pretty to sell more houses. I have 2 boats in my yard and all I need is the Code Gestapo to bust my a s s. You want Winter Park, then move there. I'm barely hanging on with taxes and related expenses as is. Goff is the best bet for now.

Sorry, but the ilk of Glancy & the present board, with their "try to turn Casselberry into Winter Park while neglecting the real priorities" lost me a long time ago. That was when the city threatened me with impossibly huge fines unless I complied with some code that couldn't even be enforced on my property. That bunch has promised more of the same -- NOT the way to get my vote.

Everything I've seen of Goff has made him appear to be a straight-shooter with realistic priorities. I don't even know who this other Goff is some of you are talking about.

Important election, this one. Ms. Glancy is just the ticket for a unanimous commission. The majority now is focused on improving the city, to increase property value. A lot of focus, in fact, is on property value, not so much on the people, the small businesses, or practicality. She’s likely to continue that primary focus. Mr. Goff may be the only one willing to stand against a majority vote, wanting to provide "balance," but at what cost is his vision? Small businesses struggle here, and the majority of our city commissioners, it seems, don’t have a whole lot of concern for that. 17-92 sure depicts that lack of focus. We don’t see much an interest in attracting new ones, or figuring out how to keep existing ones. Many of our people drive company trucks to and from work, but can’t park them at home. Do we pawn our police and fire departments off to the county? At what price and sacrifice? We’re told the City Center is “already paid for”, but years later, it’s not here. New assessments are heading straight for our wallets-diminishing any savings from that hilarious prank called Amendment 1. We are not Windermere, or Winter Park; our stats show that we just do not average that kind of household income. But, our property taxes are not like theirs either (yet). They may want us to fork over the bucks to improve our city, but will Goff or Glancy be responsible enough to recognize whether or not we can afford to. Clearly, while most may enjoy it, not everyone wants to PAY to beautify Casselberry. Everyone must examine the choices, and then, for heaven’s sake, sit in on the City Commissioner meetings and speak up!

Lets focus on the Goff Record...

Yes, he was in the school board for a term. Censored, and booted out soon after for being a complete jerk.

Yes he did real estate for a few years...LOST his license for doing something unethical.

Yes he was a HS Swimming teacher at Lyman. He was fired for unquestionable unmentionables.

Yes he handled properties for Rick Casselberry, thats what earned him the slumlord moniker since thats the quality of property he was tending to.

He hasn't paid property taxes in about 10 years.(Sounds like an elitest thinking he's special over everyone else).

His trailer is one of the worst looking ones, unkept, with a "drug house" next door that the police have not yet taken care of.

He has threatened to get rid of the fire/police dept and is constantly bringing it up to test the waters with the community.

He has driven away developers because of his brash attitude often seen on display.

He has ties to the strip club industry which is what helped funded previous elections.

Every other city has moved forward, and because of Goff, the city continues to languish as if it were 20 years ago with Boss Hogg heading it.

Its pretty much apparent that if you support Goff, you gotta be of equal company...a slumlord, a crook, a throw back in time.

Casselberry residents, as shown before, want change! Out with the PIG!

its pretty easy to decide, if your ok with having cars all over your lawn, sofas in the front yard, rats as pets, a couple of broken windows, 4 trucks with gun racks parked in the front yard, then you vote for Goff. remember he's a junkman, he really knows his trash which is why he thinks things are good just as they are, just as his supporters!! LOL
