What's your question, C-man? You weren't planning a vacation down there, were you?
Me, I'm hoping the rain soaks the whole state of Georgia. |

What's the big deal? These people actually get warnings days before a storm hits. You saw them on the news buying up water and generators in advance of the storm.
Seems to me a few weeks ago we had an unpredicted storm charge through Chicago with higher winds and tornados. Bet some of the folks in Griffith would have liked to have purchased generators days before. Of course,'Pool Boy' had his special delivered by ComEd workers at O'Hare. Back to my original point, wouldn't you LOVE to hear a bona fide prediction of an approaching storm days in advance if you live in Oklahoma, Kansas or Illinois? |

I'll take winters in NY. I never understood
why people move to FL. No jobs, hurricane season, etc. |

Wasn't that long ago these people were bitching about a drought. Wonder if any officials had sense enough to make provisions beforehand to store some of that water?

We complain when Mother Nature gives us a drought.
We complain when Mother Nature gives us a rains. Just accept Mother Nature, don't try to control it. It's nature. Let that water drain southward to Lake Okeechobee! |

I lived in the Keys when weather forecasting wasn't reliable (Like it is now LOL). There wasn't the emphasis on evacuation then, and we all survived. Anyway, sometimes your job doesn't let you leave.

Can you actually stop it? |

Sorry to read 11 people have lost their lives, my hearts go out to the families who lost loved ones. The pictures really show how terrible this storm is, I feel sorry for the families, leaving their homes with water so high, and damaging so much property.

Why the need for a "signer" to "speak" to the deaf or hard of hearing, who understand signing? Isn't that political correctness run amuck?
The number of people who may need that and are paying attention vs the cost and distraction it may cause seems foolish. It appears to me that Gov. Christ is pandering so as to be seen as PC. |
