I have an idea that can save lots of bucks! Close a bunch of southern military bases and cut back on farm subsidies.

The US auto makers sure knows how to use the same fear mongering tactics as the government does.

Why don't you guys slowly scale back just like the smart executives of the other businesses did!!!!!

It doesn't take a genius to come to the conclusion that America is in the midst of an illegal immigration crime wave. Watch America's Most Wanted, turn on the local news, or pick up a newspaper and you can see the ever growing number of illegal immigrants that are committing violent crime in America. Even in the Midwest, far from the border with Mexico it is becoming commonplace to see the list of illegal Mexican immigrants that are being sought or already arrested for crimes. I am sure that these numbers have grown as the illegal immigration boom in the past two years has but, here are the best available statistics for the illegal immigrant crime wave that is changing America daily as politicians and the wealthy business owners continue to push the "benefits" of illegal immigration as the average American spending power is becoming less and less in the new global economy. I guess they are not feeling the pain that many American communities are feeling trying to deal with this growing epidemic that is creeping North and East of the border.
There are reported 12-20 million illegal Latin America immigrants in our country roughly constituting 4-5% of the U.S. population. 27% of the entire prison population in America are illegal aliens.( General Accounting Office 2005)

It's not like the Auto Big 3 is going to go out of business before January - so why not wait till then and pass it without any opposition to fight?

easy fix, stop all imports until the American made auto makers are doing great again.

Obama has his own plan. He is going to sweat the auto companys for awhile until he gets the concessions he needs to make good his campaign promise to go battery/ hybrid.If the big 3 will not deal, neither will Obama, and we all will see just how broke they are!

for the prices they get for their cars and trucks, they can sell 10% of what they used to and still come out ahead.
they want to go out of business so they can sell us the slave labor cars for same price but a lot less to make but there won't be anyone willing to buy them because they won't have jobs so they can't win without bring America up with them or move out. free trade is bad for America, it will makes slaves to the corporate folks out of us all.
