No reason to feel sorry for unwanted Bonds

Barry Bonds is not a victim, and he's not caught up in some expertly coordinated, widespread conspiracy to keep him out of baseball.

As you've written, it's not a conspiracy. It's a case of someone who had everything making himself unemployable at every turn.
He gave baseball nothing. All he did was take.
Karma, baby!

Bonds is a swine. I notice that he seems to have lost his infamous sneer - now that he needs someone to help his cause he is on his best behaviour. Much too late, much too late. Nobody give a crap about him. Maybe he can take a long vacation to Vegas and play Pepper with Pete Rose who is another famous "victim". Bonds is a LOSER!!

You're a bunch of cretins and losers. Even before the steroid alligations Bonds was considered one of the greatest players ever to play the game. You bloody armchair moralists don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. Not one of you has ever had an interaction with the man that could allow you to speak to his personality, as if that mattered in professional sport.

i would like to see him come back and then fail miserably. it would certainly put to rest the notion that this jerk can still play the game.

Pardon my bluntness.
I could see a cellar-dweller bringing in a freak show to fill seats.
But a championship contender would be stupid to sign an over-the-hill drama queen who’s never won the Series.

Sad to say, but you're right about the potential P.T. Barnum aspect of a losing team. Baseball has a past in that. Remember the batting midget?

You mean to say "Even before the steroid abuse." Besides, you spelled allegations incorrectly but I'll forgive you for that.
No one is saying that he wasn't a great player to begin with. Just that he fouled his own playground in so many ways that now no one wants anything to do with him. And in professional sports that's quite a negative distinction.

Who's talking about steroids? Without steroids even being considered or factored in, he's one of the most spoiled and miserable people ever put on this earth! Ever read comments attributed to his team mates or listened to interviews? He's about as hated as anyone that ever wore a uniform! It's all about him! That's why I wouldn't want him on any team I root for. He's a clubhouse cancer!

I do agree Bonds was a great player before the alledged use of 'roids...

By all accounts, Bonds was not a great teammate. If this is reported by a number of sources, there must be some validity to it...

Hard to argue with this article. Although if Bonds was willing to come off the bench for the league minimum it'd be crazy not to sign him up.
